Thanks for coming to the rescue
I must not lose a moment of time in saying a huge thank you to Guy Bogart, the owner of Warwick Sanitation, who gathered three local business owners together and replaced the Donation Dog for Guiding Eyes for the Blind that was stolen last December.
The generous donors were: Track 7 Postal Center (Betsy and Ken Mitchell), Fetch Bar & Grill (Adam Powers) and G&T Auto Parts (Tom Kobylaski) along with Guy Bogart from Warwick Sanitation.
The Donation Dog has been christened Emma (in honor of a beautiful rescue pup of Dottie Sanfords) and she is launching an exciting event called Where in the Town is Emma?
She will trot around the town of Warwick and Vernon, N.J., to visit Warwick Chamber of Commerce Businesses.
Emma will change her location every two-to-three weeks. The public is invited to find Emma and drop a note in the donation slot listing their name, phone number, and where they saw her (along with a dime or quarter - that would be wonderful, too).
In June, the person who has found the most Emma Locations will be invited to a GEB Summer Graduation and get to see first-hand the importance of the Donation Dogs coins in keeping our puppies healthy so they can become the remarkable working Guide Dogs that they are.
The winner will attend a graduation (July, August or September), tour the training facility and meet GEB staff and scores of dogs in training.
The GEB Orange County Puppy Region is deeply grateful to these four businesses for their generosity in giving us the ability to collect coins to provide our puppies with their monthly Heartworm and Frontline medications. It costs us $250 for each puppy for one year.
Warwick is indeed a wonderful, caring community that I am happy to call my home. Thanks again to Guy, Betsy, Ken, Adam and Tom. You are amazing.
