Sincere thanks from Warwick Hope Chest

We at the Warwick Hope Chest and Clothing Closet would like to start the new year with heartfelt gratitude for the Warwick community.
We started eight years ago as a coat drive after Hurricane Irene and grew in response to the genuine need in our surrounding communities.
The Clothing Closet clothing bank has now given away more than $300,000 worth of clothing.
Thanks to the unprecedented generosity of the Warwick community, we’ve also grown to five rooms of thrift boutique, which allows folks to recycle, repurpose and re-use.
Profits from the Hope Chest go towards paying the rent and keeping the clothing bank open and free of charge.
None of this would be possible without Vision Community Church, St. Stephen’s R.C. Church, Grace Community Church, Good Shepherd Lutheran, Church of the Nazarene, the Bruderhof, Warwick Valley Knights of Columbus, Warwick Lions Club, Warwick Valley Rotary Club, ShopRite of Warwick, Random Acts of Consignment, Leshinski Electric, Warwick Press, Woodbury Commons and many individuals in the community who offer consistent support and willingness to help those in need.
We are non-profit and completely volunteer run and we count on members of the community as shoppers, donators and volunteers.
We’re grateful to students at the high school and the churches who not only volunteer but have done prom dress drives so that beautiful gowns can be worn again.
It’s truly a blessing to exist in a community that is so open and giving and we want to thank you for your large hearts (as well as your like-new clothing and home goods!).
Representatives from other towns and counties have stopped by to find out how they can run a thriving clothing bank and thrift shop, and we always end with “the rest depends completely on your community.”
We are very grateful, as are those you have kept dressed and warm. Thank you.
Very warmly,
Sharon Linnea Scott
