‘Shannon Hockswender can provide this leadership’

As parents, we believe that providing all Warwick students with an exemplary education is an investment in our children, our town and our future. With the financial challenges facing our district, it is imperative that we choose effective school board leadership to maintain Warwick’s tradition of excellence.

We believe that Shannon Hockswender can provide this leadership through her experience, knowledge and passion.

Shannon’s background as a teacher would be an asset to the current board. In addition to her elementary and special education certifications, she earned a master of arts degree in teaching. Shannon would bring an educator’s perspective to the board, looking out for the academic needs of our children.

Beyond Shannon’s qualifications, there is her dedication to the children. She believes in expanding the student experience through volunteering. As a teacher for St. Stephen’s Religious Education, she makes learning fun. As the producer of Sanfordville Elementary School’s “Annie Jr.,” she was responsible for student participation, fund raising and Web site development.

For the benefit of all our children, we need school board members who are qualified and committed to expanding educational opportunities.

This is Shannon and that is why we are recommending her for the Warwick Valley School Board.
