‘Rusty water saga’

| 10 Aug 2012 | 11:09

I am very grateful to live in the Village of Warwick and for the hard working members of our town and village.
However, I need to vent over the rusty water we have tolerated for several weeks and how long it is taking to resolve.
Concern for our safety not withstanding, I look at my $150+plus water bill and wonder is there any compensation for this inconvenience?
Every day in an effort to clear the lines I let gallons of water flow, spend a ton of money on rust removing chemicals for my wash (which do not seem to work), and run back and forth to ShopRite for bottled water.
The rusty water has ruined my white wash and made making a simple cup of tea in the morning impossible.
Now I find out that in order to clear the brown color from the water the water department has added phosphates, which I thought were not safe for the environment, and to date has not worked.
This has been going on for weeks and I am hoping someone has an insightful response for my ranting or it prompts an end to the rusty water saga.
