Roxanne will be a leader, not a follower

    To the Editor:
Have you noticed that Steve Neuhaus never takes a position on a difficult issue until after Roxanne Donnery states her position and is asked by a reporter? Then he never gives a real clear statement.

Now Roxanne Donnery has taken the lead on Camp LaGuardia with Steve Neuhaus trying to follow along with a belated "five-point plan."

In June 2008, the Orange County legislature was prepared to approve the $10 million sale of the property to a developer for a small university. This never occurred because Chester Town Supervisor Steve Neuhaus was outspoken in his support for Mountco, assuring legislators it stood the best chances of getting local approval.

Now, Steve Neuhaus states the Mountco project should be rebid because it contains high-density housing. So why did he come to the legislature supporting the very same project five years ago?

Roxanne Donnery has been a true leader — on Valley View, the government center and the Kiryas Joel pipeline.

We need a leader who will restore trust in government, not a follower who tries to take several positions on an issue.
