Now and in the future
As we move toward the December deadline for high school Parental Choice, I would like to try to dispel rumors that I am hearing from our communities.
I am hearing that there are Greenwood Lake families that are concerned that the George F. Baker High School will not be open in the foreseeable future.
I am hearing that this fear may be causing a change in high school selection.
I am very concerned about this misinformation and I am making an effort to stop this rumor and provide the truth.
The plan is to keep the George F. Baker High School open and to continue to provide an exceptional high school learning experience for all students for many years to come. It is not the intention of the Tuxedo Board of Education to walk away from George F. Baker and close its doors.
I encourage each of you to not be afraid to choose the George F. Baker High School.
I encourage you to choose the high school that is your first choice and to not be misled by rumors and misinformation.
You can choose the George F. Baker High School with the same confidence in our educational program, our faculty, administration and staff that has been a part of our shared history for the past 31 years.
Please feel free to contact me and I will answer your questions about these rumors and the future of our high school as best I can. I can be reached at 845-351-4799. I would be happy to speak to you.
