'Mr. Maloney must run for one, not two political offices'

At the Democratic Party convention held in late May, Tish James received 85 percent of the vote for Attorney General. Zephyr Teachout received an insufficient number of votes to qualify for the ballot and must carry petitions.
Sean Patrick Maloney was a no show.
Now, with about $3 million raised by him for his Congressional re-election campaign from people who contributed to that race, Mr. Maloney claims that he will run for AG in a Democratic Party primary and use these funds.
If he loses that primary, which is scheduled for mid-September, he will run for his Congressional seat and, if he wins the primary, he will help find a qualified candidate for the Congressional election then less than two months away.
This self-centered and unethical behavior is too typical of a Congressman who supports CPV as a "bridge (albeit a long bridge) to the future, has no organic roots in the Congressional district he has represented and straddles the fence on most critical issues.
I believe Mr. Maloney must run for one, not two political offices, and hope a Democrat running for Attorney General enforces this in court.
N.Y. State needs an independent Attorney General, not someone tied to the powers in both parties like Maloney or James.
