‘Moore has brought a Renaissance to this village'

I have to take issue with some of the letters recently written by longtime Village of Greenwood Lake residents.

I, too, am a long time resident (35-years) but unlike many others I had the unique perspective of covering and reporting on village government for over 25 years when I was the editor of our local newspaper.

I can tell you, from personal experience, that Mayor Barbara Moore has brought a Renaissance to this village. Before she was elected six years ago, this village was wallowing in out of control taxes, unmaintained infrastructure and a lack of attention to basic problems like the health of our lake.

I have seen many village officials come and go without contributing anything. Mayor Moore has not just talked about what is needed; she’s solved problems and gotten things done.

The Village of Greenwood Lake does not need new leadership. It needs the consistent and experienced leadership that Mayor Moore has provided and will continue to provide.

Join me in re-electing Mayor Barbara Moore on March 19.
