Merchant Guild had the recipe for success during the Winter Blues
The Warwick Merchant Guild would like to take this time to thank everyone who came out and supported our third annual Winter Blues event and our first-ever Charity Chili Cook-Off.
We were blessed with beautiful weather, great music and delicious food!
Thanks to Tim Mullally, co-owner of Style Counsel and Blue, and Jen Haesche, owner of La Petite Cuisine for coordinating this event, which is no easy task. The Chili Cook-Off involved seven restaurants and ShopRite, who not only entered its chili but also stepped up to support the Merchant Guild by donating water, soda, paper goods and plastic ware. Many thanks to them.
Congratulations to Fetch, our first-place winner; Eddies Roadhouse (second) and Blarney Station (third).
The voting was very close. Other contenders were La Petite Cuisine, The Dautaj, Taco Hombre and Yesterdays.
All of these restaurants are Merchant Guild and Chamber of Commerce members and we thank them for supporting our events.
Members of the Merchant Guild pay dues which enable us to hold our annual events: Winter Blues, Springfest, Sidewalk Sale, Ladies Night Out, Bridal Trail and Home for the Holidays.
The Chili Cook-Off raised $1,185 at final count and is being donated to the Warwick Ecumenical Food Pantry.
Many thanks once again to all who made this such a success.
Sincerely, Debbie Iurato and Mary Beth Schlichting
