Mayor Newhard: 'The jewel in Warwick’s crown'

From our rolling meadows to our vibrant downtown, Warwick is truly an enchanted village. This is a special place where artists and farmers, executives and migrant workers, coexist, work and live, side by side.
Conversely, it is also a place where harmony and division exists just as it does in every town across America.
The difference is we deal with these polarities in a mindful, rational and just manner whenever possible.
And, who has been at the heart of this governance: Mayor Michael Newhard, the jewel in Warwick’s crown.
It is no mystery why our mayor has run virtually uncontested over the past 18 years. Mayor Newhard has successfully balanced a thriving business in tandem with his selfless service to our community.
He has consistently and with integrity put Warwick’s best interests before self-interest; a rare commodity in modern society.
Across his tenure, he has courageously faced up to hurricanes, floods, blackouts and controversies that sometimes threatened his own livelihood.
Yet, he remained, and continues to remain, steadfast in his conviction that an open-minded strategy of leadership will result in a richer community for us all.
Our mayor’s next challenge is to improve the infrastructure of our village.
Let us, as a community, put aside whatever differences we may experience from time to time and assist Mayor Newhard in this vital quest by reelecting him come Election Day.
