Library foundation raises $41,046

The Albert Wisner Public Library Foundation's 2011-12 annual appeal, "Your Place, Your Library," raised a record amount: $41,046. That breaks the previous record of $37,210 set in 2009.
Close to 300 people responded to the combined generous matching gift of $20,000 from Glenn P. and Susan D. Dickes and Donna Applegate and Jonah Mandelbaum with record support.
Check the Library's web site (www.albertwisnerlibrary.org) for a complete list of donors.
Our library is cherished as the "community's favorite place to meet, to learn and to discover." Funds from the appeal support every aspect of library collections, programs and services.
Highlights of this year's support include:
More e-readers to circulate with expanded digital collections.
The Warwick Children's Book Festival.
Storytime totes to support early literacy development.
Three $1,000 college scholarships.
Musical concerts throughout the year.
Expanded computer training. And a variety of entertaining and informative programs for all ages.
This outpouring of private support enables the library to extend and expand its services to the community.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this year's Appeal such a resounding success!
Sincerely, Rosemary Cooper, director
