Lend us your tools, please
Those who have recently driven through the Village of Warwick might have noticed that the Village DPW has begun the excavation of the playground equipment in Stanley-Deming Park, in preparation for the exciting community build of the new ADA-accessible playground, scheduled for April 22-28.
Warwick Playground Dreams is extremely grateful to Mayor Newhard, the Warwick Village Board, and the Village DPW for their wonderful enthusiasm and support throughout the fundraising and planning process for the playground.
As this playground is fully community-funded and community-built, at this time, WPD is looking for the loan or donation of the tools required to build the playground. From saw horses and wheelbarrows, to an air compressor, to miter and circular saws, routers and impact drills, and much more - we have a long list.
Our local volunteer team leaders and our Play By Design build consultants will be using a tried-and-true, carefully implemented system of tools usage throughout Build Week, to ensure that every tool in use is securely stored, checked in and checked out, and used properly to ensure that any items on loan are returned in the same condition that they are received.
If you or your business is interested in viewing our list of the tools needed, please email warwickplaygrounddreamstools@gmail.com.
Sponsors who make in-kind donations will be gratefully acknowledged on our donor board at the entrance to the park at the appropriate sponsorship level.
Individuals or organizations interested in helping to volunteer to build, or send a team of volunteers, please sign up for your shift today at http://warwickplaygrounddreams.com/sign-up-to-volunteer/
Thank you.
