James Morley’s eloquence

We want to applaud James Morley for eloquently stating his opinion on the town council’s decision to send a letter to Albany and President Obama concerning the NY SAFE ACT on the behalf of the town of Warwick.

It is abominable that this decision be made on the behalf of all the residents in this town. Everybody is entitled to their beliefs but we do not agree with the town council’s actions and by no means condone the resolution that is being proposed.

It seems to be knee jerk reaction by people that are afraid to have their toys taken away from them without really thinking about what the core problem is.

No one wants to deny someone from either hunting, sporting or defending themselves. It is absurd to think that a ban on high capacity magazines, background checks, Internet sales of assault weapons and a registry of assault weapons would be considered a threat.

So thank you to Mr. Morley for his letter which we totally agree with.
