On Friday, Oct. 11, more than 100 people attended Jester's Comedy Club in Chester, as Bobby Collins headlined the evening with roaring laughter from the crowd.

Almost $1400 was raised for the Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning and the money raised will go toward helping the students, teachers and staff of the Warwick Valley School District.

A special thank you goes to Jester's for hosting the event and donating a portion of the ticket sales, as well as to the local businesses that donated baskets and raffles. Some of these local businesses are; Newhards, Radio Shack, C&D Bagels, ShopRite, Franico's Pizza, Price Chopper, Benito's Pizza, Ciao Bella Pizza, Fratello's, La Petite Cuisine, Etched in Time, The Ink Well, Noble Pies and Rooster Tees.

Warwick Foundation for Excellence in Learning's next event will be the launch of Career University on Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Warwick Valley High School. Career University is a collaborative effort with the foundation, Warwick Valley High School and the Warwick Valley Chamber of Commerce. (See related story on page XX.)
