In response to 'Protests in the Village of Warwick?'
This is in response to Tiffany Howell's letter this past week regarding the March Against Family Separation protest held in Warwick on Saturday, June 30, expressing her "frustration" at having to deal with this kind of thing in her own town and wondering if she's the only one who feels this way.
Probably not.
I'm sure there are other self-absorbed people who are annoyed that their "quaint little village" had to face some ugly truths about people who are not "out to eat with their family" because their family has been decimated by the heartless monsters currently running our government.
Hopefully you're in the minority. You get to go home and tuck your kids into bed at night and know they're safe.
Those of us who were marching last Saturday were giving a voice to those people who don't even know where their children are, or whether they will every see them again.
Your privilege and First World problem of "annoying protests in your little town" have blinded you to the suffering of millions. You don't need lunch - you need a heart.
