Ice in the fridge and elsewhere
Messrs. Fernandez and Klein — where do I begin?
First you, Mr. (George) Fernandez. I started to reply to each of your attacks, so voluminous, that it became exhaustive. So, I’ve decided to say the following:
You say you’re a conservative, but you attack like a liberal, the kind one can get along with, until a conservative disagrees with them - on anything!
You intimate that my comments come from hacks and reactionaries and blow-hards. Truth be known, they are my opinions and I’ve formulated them on my own. I am not a noddy! Your condescending remarks make me believe you might be a misogynist.
I do not proclaim to be a worldwide, weather expert, but I am entitled to my opinion. One is that there will be, and probably always have been, the Sandys and the Irenes and, especially Mother Nature, who will always get their way, one way or the other.
I don’t tell lies, as you stated, or believe there are bad elements in our society regarding this issue - only people expressing their views, who should not be attacked, like Mr. Berman and me, for doing so.
Lastly, you made me laugh with your ice cube comment. My cubes are melting, not because of global warming, but because my fridge/freezer is in need of repair. If a “dirty, stinking, liberal” - your words, not mine - comes to fix it, I will be extremely grateful, if he, or she, does so and charges me fairly.
Now Mr. (Richard) Klein. Mr. Klein, I suggest both you and Mr. Fernandez read Mr. (Jerald) Berman’s letter of Aug. 9. It is filled with facts, is plain enough for even me, a simple person, to understand, and is succinct for its subject matter. Do the math!
As for Mr. Gore, whom you say was instrumental in helping to construct the Internet, did he not also construct a purchase/acquisition which may have grave storm warnings or even flooding when hot air finds itself in hot water? We’ll let the people and/or the experts decide that one.
In closing, I would like to ask this paper to do a poll asking the folks to state their biggest concerns, i.e., the economy, climate change, jobs, etc., to also include the fear of another homeland, terror attack.
It would be very interesting and very informative. Thank you.
