How many of the 206,900 registered voters will vote?

This is a very important election year for Orange County. We have many positions that need to be filled with the right people. The county executive, legislators, judges, town supervisors and other public offices are up for election in the great county.

We have 206,988 registered voters in Orange County, and what we are afraid of is that only a small percentage of the voters are going to vote.

We would like your readers to think about the government as your cars or trucks and you are looking for drivers.

Do you want to pick the drivers or do you want someone else to pick the drivers for you?

Remember your families are in the cars or trucks. Think of them when you vote.

Some people vote in blocks, but at least they vote, so we applaud them.

A person who does not vote means that vote goes to the other side.

Veterans for years have died for you to vote and it is sad when only 20 percent of the people vote and so many do not.

No wonder we have so many bad drivers out there.

This election year we would like to read as see that we have at least 80 percent of the people voting.

Then we would know you care about your families and you county.

Thank you. And God bless you and God bless America.
