Have we ‘become so blinded by our own wickedness?’
Governor Hocul recently signed a bill into law which makes New York State a “safe haven” state for parents who seek gender reassignment procedures, many of which are irreversible, for their own children.
The law essentially allows parents in custody battles to travel to New York State to procure these “mengelian” treatments, shielding them from the laws of their home state, a state which most likely and prudently passed legislation which protects those same children.
Regrettably, both our state representatives, Chris Eachus and James Skoufis, voted for this ludicrous legislation.
I’ve reached out to both offices and have yet to receive a response from either, but an interesting observation though, neither of them have used this for any political benefit, something most progressive politicians don’t usually shy away from regarding this issue.
Could it be they understand the harm this law will inflict on children and that they didn’t have the moral courage to stand up against it or do they know full well that most of their constituents are opposed to this abhorrent legislation, or both?
So not only do we not protect the children in our state, we’ve now invited parents from other states to come here as well to disfigure their own children’s bodies and minds.
Now we must each ask ourselves, is it because NYS is a much more enlightened and progressive state than others, or is it simply because we have become so blinded by our own wickedness?
