GWL needs ‘an experienced manager like Barbara Moore’
I sat on the Greenwood Lake Village Board with Mayor Barbara Moore for four years. Barbara is a professional who takes her position very seriously, works harder and has accomplished more than any mayor in the recent history of the village.
It was my privilege to be part of a collaborative village board under Mayor Moore’s leadership. We worked hard and got things done. We developed new initiatives and began the long-term task of restoring the neglected village infrastructure.
We didn’t always agree but there was always room for discussion. Barbara always encouraged collaborative decisions.
Unfortunately, because of the current village board’s uncooperative attitude, Mayor Moore has had to carry most of the load herself.
You would be mistaken to think, as her opponent implies, that under Mayor Moore the village spent too much money just to make it look pretty.
A gifted grant writer, astute financial manager and environmentalist, Barbara has saved the village’s taxpayers millions and kept the tax rate stable.
Village residents need an experienced manager like Barbara Moore to continue working on behalf of this village. There’s more to be done.
Vote for Barbara Moore and trustee candidate Sara Cox on March 19.
