Greetings from an old friend in England

    Congratulations, Warwick Valley Farmers' Market.

I was one of the original vendors 21 years ago - Creekside Barn. We showed up with gooseberry jam and scones, which sold very quickly.

    I was hooked, but clueless.
The wonderful Vince D'Attalico took me under his wing. He was the driving force, the spirit and soul of the market.

I remember Bob and Sue's amazing orchids, Grammy's Garden's perfect cut flowers and Mrs. Rogowski's borscht, which is the only borscht I have ever liked.

Our daughter, Olivia, was three and came with us. She quickly developed a routine.

For breakfast she went to Robin for goat cheese marinated in olive oil with herbs and for lunch she would go to Vinnie for mesclun.

She also willingly accepted any fruit that was offered.

Eventually, she was banned from riding her tricycle hell for leather.

I moved back to England and now work as a textile artist and am involved in developing a project to help disadvantaged young people develop skills to become employable.

Olivia is finishing her M.Sc. at London School of Economics and still loves goat cheese.

Wishing you all the best, WVFM, for this season, and many more.
