Greenwood Lake needs a pro-business mayor
Reflecting upon the mayoral forum, I must respond to candidate Dwyer.
He stated he supports local business. When asked specifically how he has worked with the Greenwood Lake Merchants Guild, he said, “That s not my job, that’s Kelli s responsibility.”
As the Guild s president I can tell you that Dwyer has done nothing to promote local businesses. After being invited to join the Guild, he declined. I personally invited him to join, attend meetings and grand openings. He said, “I don’t want to interfere. That’s Barbara’s thing.”
Clearly his claim of “great support of local business” is false.
He claims to have initiated a health insurance fair in the village. Instead of inviting me, a local insurance broker, he invited and promoted an outside company.
Mayor Moore has brought several new businesses to Greenwood Lake. She single-handedly brought Cablevision with 170 Cablevision employees into our village daily. It repairs its equipment locally; the employees eat in our restaurants and soon their retail store will be located here, bringing in 200-300 people per day.
Mayor Moore is an active Guild member. She volunteers her time, works on committees and promotes the village. I emphatically support Mayor Moore for re-election and urge you to also.
