'Generation after generation of undereducated, unprepared, unemployable people'
I hope you all read the article ("Judge voids rules aimed at reforming Ultra-Orthodox schools") on page 10 of the current Warwick Advertiser.
If you didn't or glanced over it, you should go back and really read and understand what's going on.
Once again the far all-reaching power of the Hasidic community has bent Albany and us the taxpayers to their unrelenting will.
This new decision by the state judge gets rid of state school education guidelines for all private schools, so no more math, writing, reading, English but the schools are still able to get state money, i.e. your taxes dollars to do what they want.
So these Jewish school are thumbing their noses at basic education standards for their kids but have no problem taking your taxes.
Do you see why this is a problem?
If you don't, you better.
Go to your homework. Look up how much it costs for a Hasidic children to attend a Yeshiva in Orange County. Look up how much money gets allocated to them, so now they still get the money with no state educational input.
So the Hasidic community is churning out generation after generation of undereducated, unprepared, unemployable people.
Or maybe that's the goal?
It seems to be working great for them so far.
