From the Ginley family
Our families moved to Warwick because of the small town feel and beautiful surroundings. Over the years we have learned that Warwick is much more than a pretty place to live. This community has stepped up to the plate time and again to support one of its own.
The outpouring of support and prayers we have received over the past couple of weeks has been unsurpassed.
Warwick has raised the community bar to a new level, especially the young people. On St. Patrick’s Day hundreds of students came to Christina’s front yard for a candle light vigil.
After about 20 minutes of beautiful silence with many tears flowing the kids walked around the block where Christina often ran and came back singing “Lean on Me” and “Amazing Grace.”
It was nothing short of amazing.
Many of our children will leave Warwick as young adults and bring their love and sense of community to their new communities where they will spread their wings and make a difference. So please hug your children and tell them we say thank you!
To all our friends, neighbors, community, students, school administration, staff and various clubs of the Warwick Valley School District, St. Stephen’s parish, the Warwick Fire Department, Police Department and businesses that so graciously supported and prayed for us during these difficult times, we would like to extend our heartfelt thank you to all.
Warwick is, indeed, a special place.
