Follow up and thank you

We are writing today to thank everyone for supporting our son Devin on his sales of fire wood. Many people mentioned that they saw the article and expressed how sorry and upset they were that his fire wood that he sells on our front lawn was stolen.

There were some people that stopped by to buy bundles of wood to help his sales.

Then there were some friends that donated some money to him.

Three people in particular stopped and spoke with us:

• The man in the silver pickup truck from New Jersey bought all the wood Devin had out front and then gave money to help make up for what was taken.

• Not even a half hour later a man in a blue pickup came and handed us money because he said he just wanted our son to know that not all people are bad.

• Then a woman in a silver Subaru stopped and said she was giving Devin money because she felt bad when she saw the article and felt that selling things on the honor system was a great thing that we don’t see enough of anymore.

We want to thank everyone for your support whether it was a mention of what had happened or your generosity.

Devin is going to buy toys for the Toy Drive at the Warwick Volunteer Fire Department for the children effected by Hurricane Sandy with the money over the $30 that he had taken in fire wood.

We are blessed to know that people care and that we live in such a wonderful community.

Sincerely,

Rob, Janice and Devin Pavlick
