Florida Public Library wants to hear from you

| 12 Sep 2019 | 09:55

The Florida Public Library is developing a new long range plan to guide us for the next five years and we invite your participation or that of a representative of your organization.

The plan will help us determine what programs and services, technology, physical space and staffing Florida residents, taxpayers and business people expect and need for their public library.

We will begin our planning process with a series of focus group meetings for the public which will be led by Library Trustee Diane Arcieri. We are interested in hearing from both Library users and non-users.

We invite you to attend one of our meetings on the following dates:

    Friday, Sept. 20, 9:30 a.m. to noon.

    Monday, Sept., 23, 6 to 8:30 p.m.

    Tuesday, Oct. 1, 7 to 9:30 p.m.

    Sunday, Oct. 20, 1 to 3:30 p.m.

If you can attend one of these meetings, please register online by visiting www.floridapubliclibrary.org. Click on Calendar and the date of the meeting you have chosen. Fill in the blanks to sign up. If you do not have a library card, enter your phone number in this space. For "Affiliation," please enter your community connection as listed above. You will receive an email confirming your registration.

If you would prefer to sign up by phone, call FPL at (845) 651-7659. A staff member will register online for you. Please call if you have any questions about how to sign up.

I look forward to seeing you next month and hearing your thoughts on how FPL can best meet the needs of you, your family, friends and organization. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions. Thank you in advance for assisting your hometown Library to grow and improve.

    Sincerely,

    Madelyn Folino
