Florida Chamber of Commerce: Thanks for supporting 'Movie in the Village' night

| 23 Aug 2019 | 02:38

Early evening on Aug. 21, saw the skies opening to heavy rain. Luckily the rain stopped before the scheduled opening of the “doors” to “Movie in the Village” night on the great lawn at S.S. Seward Institute on N. Main St. in Florida.

Excitement started to build as attendees - young and old alike with lawn chairs and blankets - watched the inflatable screen rise.

The night sky cleared and stars were shining as the feature presentation of ‘Hotel Transylvania 3” began. There was much laughter, applause and youngsters frolicking on the lawn in the dark during this evening of family fun, which was sponsored by the Florida Chamber of Commerce and the Florida Farmers Market.

The movie committee was comprised of chamber members: Thomas Andryshak, Debbie Slesinski, Janet Picarelli, Bob Scott and Beth Fuller.

And special thank you to S.S. Seward Superintendent Jan Jehring for allowing the community use of the great lawn and SDA Events, the Spencer Daniels Agency, for the excellent projection and sound system.

This community event was made possible by these sponsors:

Classic Cleaning & Maintenance Services Inc., Pillmeier Produce Farms, Janet’s Quality Baked Goods, New Beginnings Spa and Hillcrest Entertainment Inc.

Also: Alison Orlando, Licensed Real Estate Salesperson, Dombrowski’s Lawn & Garden Center, HeatSmart Warwick, Lawnsense and Chrome Salon NY.

Also: Slesinski Plumbing & Heating LLC, Village Realty of Orange County - Beth Fuller, Coleman’s Plumbing and Heating and Walden Savings Bank.
