Eileen Patterson announces her bid for the Warwick Village Board

I would like to take this opportunity to announce my candidacy for Village Trustee for the Village of Warwick. I am running as the Voice of the Family candidate. When I completed my first term in 2010, I chose not to run again at that time because I had the daunting task of preparing my oldest child for college. I said then that I would be back and I am very happy to be making this announcement today. I’ve missed the work at Village Hall and I am anxious to be involved again.

During my first term as village trustee, I completed a comprehensive Employee Handbook for the village and I wrote and implemented an Employee Performance Review Procedure to assist in the evaluation of village staff. I am very proud of the role I played in the considerable task of updating and rewriting the Village Zoning Code; a process that brought the zoning document in line with a Village Comprehensive Master Plan that was adopted in 2000. As Parks and Recreation liaison, I initiated and presented a plan to update Veteran’s Memorial Park. After securing a grant to work with a landscape architect and community stake holders to create a plan that can be used as a stepped process to update the park over time.

I believe that my experience as village trustee, my tenacity and my desire to help the village is necessary now as we continue to deal with recent storm damage and navigate through the current economy. I look forward to rolling up my sleeves and getting back to the business of Warwick on your behalf.

I would appreciate the support of the Village residents on March 20 and am happy to answer any questions via e-mail at warwickpatterson@yahoo.com.
