East Arm Rowing Club boathouse dedication

On Saturday, Nov. 30, at 11 a.m., the East Arm Rowing Club will hold a dedication ceremony for its new boathouse at 69 Sterling Road in Greenwood Lake.
A sign is to be installed in tribute to Dr. Alex Emodi, who headed the club until his death earlier this year.
He was a gifted athlete who was passionate about his sport, inspiring veteran and novice rowers of all ages.
Under his leadership the annual "Learn to Row" regatta introduced ever larger numbers of local community members to the art of rowing crew.
The club's new facility has been under construction since last winter.
Although funds to complete the project are still being raised, it is in regular use for competitive master's rowers, recreational rowers and both Warwick and Tuxedo high school crew teams.
The new boathouse is a testament to Alex Emodi's vision and is being named in his honor.
