Dwyer: ‘The right decision for our community’

With our Village election right around the corner, there are plenty of hot topics being discussed around the lake.

However, in my opinion there is none more important than our youth. As a supporter of candidate Dwyer, I have had the privilege of attending his events, and would like to share something I observed.

In a room of constituents, friends and family, it was never hard to find candidate Dwyer. All one needed to do was locate the large group of teens, students and young adults speaking and sharing with Jesse.

Never before have I witnessed a village leader so enthralled with our youth. I sat and listened to the conversation Mr. Dwyer was having with them, discussing the importance of voicing their opinion, and encouraging them to register to vote.

Dwyer calmly stated that it doesn’t matter who you support, casting your vote is the most important way to have your voice heard. He encouraged them to become engaged in the community, telling stories of his early involvement in the community as well as listening to their opinions, concerns and requests.

It was at that moment I knew that my vote for Jesse Dwyer on March 19th would be the right decision for our community.
