Christmas for Kids in the Village of Florida

On Saturday, Dec. 21, the Local Chapter of the Knights of Columbus # 4952 hosted a Christmas for Kids Breakfast with Santa at the Knights Hall behind St. Ignatius Orthodox Church located at 75 North Main St. in Florida.
Rich Buturla, event chairman, said that the event put miles of smiles on well over 150 children in the Warwick area. Participants including parents, grandparents, and guardians brought the total to well over 230 people.
Special thanks goes to ShopRite manager Bob Courtenay and assistant manager Stephanie Lambros who graciously donated the scrumptious breakfast of waffles, sausage and hash browns.
A shout out also goes to Price Chopper manager Jacqui Gessner and assistant manager Paul Ferraro who provided sheet cakes and snacks which satisfied everyone’s sweet tooth.
All kids received a computer-generated picture of themselves with Santa from Christopher Rosado who gave his time and provided his computer wizardry to make the breakfast even more special.
On the thank you side the event could not have seated everyone if it were not for the table and chair rental donation provided by the great people at Warwick Party Rental, Inc.
All children received a Christmas present from the Knights of Columbus Christmas for Kids Toy Drive headed by Toy Drive Chair Al Sanza.
Besides Santa there were special guest appearances by Rudolph and the Toy Soldier.
Wow! What a party! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
