Broken heart, hope and a life-saving warning

I just wanted to comment on the three letters to the editor in last week’s Warwick Advertiser.
    One broke my heart.
    One gave me hope.
And one provided a great metaphor for America at the greatest crossroads of her entire history.
The voice that broke my heart was the voice that called for four more years of broken promises, class warfare and abject failure at home and abroad. It is a voice that clearly says to our children that accountability means nothing a voice that has clearly forgotten what it means to be American. Welcome to the Dependent States of America.
The voice that gave me hope was the one that honored Warwick and those responsible for the wonderful 9/11 Memorial Lights may they shine forever as a lasting reminder that freedom is not something we pass to our children in the bloodstream.
With all due respect, the first driver is like the motorist who wakes up from the life-saving road ridges but decides to drive herself and her family into the ditch anyway.
