Benson backs Shuback

| 26 Aug 2013 | 11:22

Mickey Shuback is running for re-election to the Town Board and will face a challenge in a primary to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 10. Mickey has unselfishly given of his time, business resources and his extensive knowledge from his 45 years in the farming business for the benefit of the taxpayers he serves.

Mickey led the negotiating team that resulted in a fair contract which secured a percentage contribution to health care from town employees and zero percent salary increase for two years.

Mickey, as liaison to the Highway Department, has worked with management to reduce the work force, cut costs and double the life of our heavy trucks saving millions for our taxpayers.

Mickey is part of a great team that has expanded recreation, preserved agriculture, maintained services for our senior citizens all the while working with the other town councilmen to keep town taxes the lowest of any of the 18 major towns in Orange County.

I ask that you join me in voting for Mickey Shuback in the Republican, Conservative or Independence party primary on Tuesday, Sept. 10.
