Barbara Moore has the ‘vision, competence and skill’

For the past six years the Village of Greenwood Lake has been well-served by Mayor Barbara Moore, an experienced professional.

Why would any resident with common sense even briefly consider replacing her with an inexperienced candidate who can only offer empty promises and no concrete record of achievement?

Why put a well-run, fiscally sound village in jeopardy and risk losing a hard-working leader with demonstrated managerial expertise , financial know how and statewide recognition who has maintained a stable tax base supplemented by millions of dollars of grants?

Could it be because of a perceived slight, or bruised ego on the part of a few residents who are willing to destroy everything that has been accomplished under her leadership?

Though, at times, I may have differed with Mayor Moore’s approach to issues, that has never outweighed my highest regard for her vision, competence and skill at promoting the Village of Greenwood Lake.

I witnessed this working closely with her on a number of initiatives, including the planning and completion of the Morahan Waterfront Park, which utilized donated professional services of faculty architects and students from the college I formerly led.

To guarantee effective leadership in Greenwood Lake, file your secret ballot for Barbara Moore on March 19.
