'As the crow flies'

I was born and brought up in Peekskill, New York - five miles upriver from Indian Point.

I have family members who still live there.

Now, as the crow flies, I live in Warwick, 22 miles away from the Indian Point Nuclear Plants.

Both these distances could impact importantly on my life.

I eagerly look forward to the forum, organized by Sustainable Warwick, where the request for re-licensing of the power plants will be discussed.

I urge my fellow Warwickians to join me on Thursday, May 15, at Town Hall , 7:30 to 9 p.m. to hear and evaluate both sides of this issue.
