America: ‘Home of the politically correct’

“I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all.” Our country was founded on these principals; what happened? Smoking is not illegal; it may be distasteful to some, but not to all. I personally find that my freedoms as a smoker are rapidly being taken away. Maybe what you need to work on is common courtesy. Should we not be allowed in parks because we smoke? Today it’s smokers; who will it be tomorrow? This is a slippery slope. Your freedoms are slipping away - what will you do about it? Maybe America is no longer the home of the free, but the home of the politically correct.
