A vote against Nan Hayworth

Every American should feel that billionaires and political extremists influencing our political process - particularly at the local level - is just plain wrong.

But Nan Hayworth readily admits she has taken Tea Party money in the past.

She made a vague attempt to withhold much needed federal assistance for our farmers after tropical storm Irene following the Tea Party, Boehner/Cantor directive to cut expenses somewhere else first, before administering that aid.

She has also sworn an oath to Grover Norquist not to raise taxes ever.

    Who is Grover Norquist?

    He’s not an elected official.

He’s a lobbyist who has managed to extort this oath from approximately 67 other Republican members of the House in addition to Mitt Romney.

You have to ask yourself: Who would Ms. Hayworth be responsible to if reelected? Just who would she answer to?

    Her Tea Party funders?

    Mr. Norquist?

    Perhaps Charles and David Koch?

    Or FOX News?

Or would she be responsible to and for her constituents; taxpayers - those who voted for her? Her supporters would say her constituents of course!

But we know better. Most people know when someone is trying to sell them a bridge.

Ms. Hayworth’s policies are a bridge to nowhere.
