Leonard DeBuck thanks community
Thank you, thank you, thank you, to all the wonderful folks who expressed their gratitude and appreciation to me since stepping down from the Town Board after 14 years of public service.
As Ive stated before, it really never was about me, but together we accomplished a lot of good things.
All the projects and issues that I was involved in, whether it was from the earlier years of rewriting the Towns Comprehensive Plan and then introducing new zoning regulations complete with a farmland preservation program, or as the liaison to the Police Department, and then as the liaison to the development and upkeep of our towns parks, I always had lots and lots of concerned, dedicated and helpful community volunteers to lean on for advice or assistance.
Special thanks, too, to our dedicated town employees, and my fellow board members, especially Supervisors Tony Houston and Michael Sweeton for their leadership and ability to carry out whatever task we were confronted with.
I could not agree more when someone claims that the best politics are those that are closest to the people and I believe wholeheartedly that the best people anywhere in the world are right here in the Town of Warwick.
Again, many, many thanks for all the well wishes and gifts.
It was truly my honor and privilege to serve you.
Sincerely, Leonard M. DeBuck Pine Island
