‘Kind people still exist in this world'

To the editor: On June 6, the weather was picture perfect, a nice day for a walk. My golden retriever and I started out on our two-mile venture. Toward the end of our walk, Alex, who suffers from Lyme disease, stopped and did not want to walk any further. After all my coaxing and pleading, still no response from my walking buddy. After standing and waiting in hopes that Alex would regain his strength and continue our journey home, a kind woman with a friendly smile offered us a ride home.
