Is ‘In God We Trust' politically correct?

    To the editor: Wow. Santa Claus is now a religious icon? I don’t remember him in any manger scenes. Oh, I guess it’s just politically correct to exclude him because he may bring to mind the “Christmas” word. Is St. Valentine’s Day a religious celebration? Get rid of those hearts and arrows ... we may offend someone. Oh yes, “In God We Trust” is on our currency. Is that politically correct? Oh, no. Last time I witnessed court, people were sworn in to tell the truth on the Bible. Is this next on the secular agenda? Shame on us! And the message of Christmas? “Peace on earth and goodwill towards men.” Mary Burkhardt Warwick
