‘I stand with Women in Black'

To the editor: I stand with Women in Black in silent protest to the killing of innocent victims - whoever and wherever they are. I am saddened that our mourning should upset the faux patriots among us. Parades and barbecues on holidays are fun and games but they are no more significant to patriotism than our silent protest against the killing. We mourn because we love our country. We mourn silently for our heroes and for all the dead whose innocent blood stains our American flag. Jude Roche Warwick
