Here is your chance
To the editor: Can you believe this, one election cycle (November) is over and - bam - here comes another, this time it is to elect a new village trustee and mayor. That’s right! January starts a campaign cycle that ends in March with village elections. If you are disappointed with the current management of taxpayers’ dollars and the escalating village taxes and fees, then here is your chance. If you are disappointed that the mayor said volunteers would water the potted plants along and around Main Street, only to find out that those volunteers are not volunteers at all, but paid village employees, then here is your chance. If you are disappointed the village had to hired a part time employee to pick up the slack so others could man the plant-watering brigade, then here is your chance. If you are disappointed to see the months go by while the mayor stalls the hospital’s expansion and other legitimate projects, then here is your chance. If you are disappointed seeing the mayor form committees to justify his earlier decisions, then here is your chance. If you are disappointed with the ethical lapse our mayor had when he signed five no-bid truck lease agreements with a trustee’s employer, then here is your chance. If you want to serve the people of this community, then here is your chance. As you can tell, no experience necessary! Stan Mocarsky Warwick
