GOP ‘looking for an excuse

’To the Editor: I am writing concerning the article that appeared in your Dec. 2 paper. I was on Noel Spencer’s campaign for county legislator. During that period I was involved in the organization of where he campaigned. At no time did Mr. Spencer ever campaign at Camp La Guardia. It is a real shame that the Republicans have to go looking for an excuse to explain away their loss. As stated in your paper Mr. Spencer campaigned aggressively to get his word out to the people and to find out just what the residents of the 8th Legislative District would expect from him. I would also like to state I applaud the Conservative Party for endorsing Mr. Spencer in his run for county legislature based on his record as a Chester town councilman. It is that endorsement that helped show two parties believed he was the best candidate for the job. It is that record of his knowledge and ability that will prove to the people they elected the best person for the position of county legislature in District 8.
