Glenmere Lake: ‘A resource that should be cherished'

To the editor; My husband and I have been living in Glenmere Homesites on Glenmere Lake for 25 years. This is our second home. We live in Brooklyn during the week and always look forward to our week-ends on the lake. It’s wonderful to leave the busy city and in only two hours, be able to find such peace and seclusion. The lake is a resource that should be cherished. We have heard that this treasure is now threaten by a plan to develop the land around the lake. This project is called the Glenmere Preserve Development and will not, in any way, preserve the natural beauty of the lake. As members of the Glenmere Lake club, an organization whose members are all residence of Glenmere Homesites, we support the efforts of the Glenmere Conservation Coalition in it’s efforts to protect the lake.
