Girl Scout Troop 571 seeks your help to help soldiers
To the editor: My name is Heather Hallock and I am a girl scout from Troop 571 in the Village of Florida. My troop and I are working on our Bronze Award Service Project. A Bronze Award Service Project is a community service project that helps Girl Scouts achieve their goal in scouting. For our project our troop will be doing a project called “Pinatas for Platoons,” a project that sends materials to soldiers overseas in pinatas that each girl in the troop makes. We will be filling these pinatas with everyday materials that soldiers may need. For example: toothpaste, toothbrush, dental floss, calling cards, etc. We are asking you to help not only Girl Scout Troop 571 but also the soldiers overseas. If you are in the Village of Florida and see a collection can, please donate so we can help the soldiers to know that we are thinking of them and wish them the best.
