Father inspires daughters to serve

To the editor: Ever since I was little, I’ve watched my dad give his time and energies to many different volunteer organizations. He would take me along to practices when he coached youth soccer. As I got older, my sister and I would help out with Jaycee projects like putting up flags on holidays and helping local kids shop for their families at Christmas time. He taught us the value of giving back to our community, and of listening to, and learning from, everyone in the community. As a result, both my sister and I have moved back to Warwick after college, and have been inspired to give back to the community through the volunteer fire department and the volunteer ambulance corps, among other organizations. Now, I watch my dad give back to the community that he loves so much in a different way n by being our town supervisor. He has poured his heart and soul, along with thousands of hours outside of the office, into keeping Warwick such a wonderful place, and ensuring that it stays that way for future generations. He has supported our family completely as we’ve grown up, while still finding time to help others. Now we support him n we will be voting for Mike Sweeton for town supervisor on Nov. 6 n and I encourage everyone who loves Warwick to do the same. Stephanie Sweeton
