Everywhere you looked
To the editor: I am happy to report to the concerned citizens of Warwick that Santa is alive and well in our beautiful town. I saw him this morning at the United Methodist Church volunteering his time to collect the numerous Christmas baskets that were being dropped off for those less fortunate in our area. I also spotted him at the Post Office delivering a bundle of toys to an overflowing box for underprivileged children. He was collecting money for the Salvation Army, phone cards and gifts for our troops, Toys for Tots and with the Scouts donating goods for the food pantry. He was at Mt. Alverno playing violin for the residents, and visiting sick children in the hospital. He doubled his donations to the “Inkwell Bear” after hearing of his sad tale of being robbed. I am grateful he is allowed in Warwick schools where our children should be exposed to all his kind and generous ways. Santa is thankful to the Sanfordville PTA for defending his rights and to the school administrators for supporting them. He appreciates the outpouring of letters to the newspapers on his behalf. Yes, fellow residents, there is a Santa Claus. Let’s make sure he is around for generations to come. Merry Christmas, Susan B. Perry Warwick
