'Doable and necessary'

In these extreme economic times, there seems to be only one solution for the Orange County Government Center and that is repair. It is doable and necessary. Using County funds for a brand new construction means that we would be taking money that is badly needed for government services to indulge the whim of a few individuals. Both repair and new construction will provide jobs for Orange County workers. However, repair will reduce the tax burden on Orange County residents and, if the building will be more carefully maintained, it can provide viable County government offices for many years to come.
