Democrats' first ‘Meet & Greet' a success

To the editor: On Sunday, May 7, The Warwick Town Democratic Committee held our first annual “Meet & Greet” at the Tuscan Café. As organizers of this event, we want to thank Committee Chair Steve Carras for his leadership and the Committee for its support and encouragement. The effort and enthusiasm of the members of our Public Relations Subcommittee - Ashley Blackwood-Russo, Bob Kiedaisch, Kay Michelfeld, Ruth Knoblauch and Jerry Schacher - helped to make this event a great success. It could not have happened without them. Also, thanks to Jan and Jerry Sommer for their help. Speakers Mike Edelstein and Mayor Michael Newhard were both informative and energizing and we thank them for their contributions. The food, atmosphere and service at the Tuscan Café made for an enjoyable afternoon. It was such a pleasure to make new acquaintances and reconnect with old friends in the Democratic community.
