Califf announces candidacy for Florida Village Board
To the editor: My name is Caroline Califf and I am a candidate for the Village of Florida Board of Trustees. Over the past few years our region has experienced rapid growth and I have seen our community change as a result. I want to see Florida retain the best of its small-town character while adjusting sensibly to meet the needs of a growing population. I believe I can best help our community meet these needs by serving as a Village Trustee. As a young mother of two and a member of organized labor, I have the experience of raising children in a working-class family and managing a family budget. I come from a background of business and financial management. As a former small business owner, I strongly believe in supporting local businesses and keeping money within the town. I also believe citizens should volunteer locally if they have the time and I am proud to say I am a member of the Friends of the Florida Library. I have the time, interest and energy to serve as a village trustee. I would love to hear from you and what you are concerned about so please feel free to contact me at ckcaliff@yahoo.com and voice your concerns. I pledge to represent all the residents of Florida and I ask for your vote in the village election on March 20. Caroline Califf Florida
