Build the kind of library Warwick needs'
To the editor: On March 8 we’ll have the opportunity to approve a referendum to build a library with more than four times the space of our current one. That space is desperately needed, as those of us who visit the library frequently can attest. The land has been donated. Private funds have been raised and will continue to be raised. Now it’s up to all of us who cherish the resources that only a library can provide to approve the referendum. Your library tax will go up by $1.48 per thousand of the assessed value of your home. Let’s do the math: For a home with an assessed value of $40,000 - about $225,000 estimated market value - that comes to $59 a year. That’s less than 16 cents a day to build the kind of library that Warwick needs and deserves. Let’s do it. Anita Page Warwick
